Updated NetCharts Server and NetCharts Designer
Advances include enhanced Web 2.0 features, improved template design
TDWI World Conference, Chicago IL – May 13, 2008 – Visual Mining™, the premier provider of
advanced data visualization and performance dashboard solutions used for Business Performance
Management (BPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) Applications, today announced the availability of
version 5.5 of its NetCharts Server and NetCharts Designer products. This significant release helps
clients leverage information as a strategic asset and improve the overall customer experience. Initially
launched in 2004, the software products enable developers to create secure, flexible, and easily
customizable BPM and BI Applications.
For highly scalable, high-performance dashboard and data visualization applications, the combination of NetCharts Server and Designer is the simplest and easiest way to improve an application’s front end presentation layer. Customers can expect to achieve a reduction in the time it takes to develop, deploy, and manage such applications with:
- Openness and flexibility in retrieving data from multiple data sources with automatic refresh
- Simple process for designing rich Web 2.0 dashboards without coding

New NetCharts Features Build on Core Capabilities
Enhancements to Visual Mining’s NetCharts Server and Designer performance dashboard solutions are designed to significantly reduce the complexity and time developers spend creating charts, graphs, reports, and dashboards. They include:
- Greater administrative control over installation configuration
- New performance tuning and memory management configuration options.
- GUI, Navigation control and usability improvements based on Eclipse IDE Platform version 3.3
- AJAX-enabled dashboards allow updates to individual dashboard elements without full page reloads
- Data Wizard updated to use latest drivers and wizard support for new databases
- Improved color palettes and ability to maintain custom color palette definitions between sessions
- Newly styled chart templates with simplified customization
- New pre-defined table styles that streamline table element customization
